A little bit of chit chat
The proposal to create an Interim Grant Program for the Moonbeam community to fund the development of its ecosystem has been voted on and has passed. The new framework went into effect immediately after the voting period ended last week and will be active for the next six months. You can find a complete overview of the program here.
Privacy from Polkadot to the world!
p0xeidon Labs, the team behind Manta Network, unveiled their research project named Poseidon VM, which aims to bring privacy to Ethereum. The new virtual machine will focus on enabling the creation of zkApps with privacy, scalability, and attestation and benefiting from gas-efficient zkApp transactions, which can be notoriously cheaper than other L2s.
One of the main unique features Poseidon VM brings to the Ethereum ecosystem is that it allows DApp developers to code zkApps purely using Solidity. According to the official statement, this move will benefit the Manta community in the long run as more interoperability solutions and bridges built by the team come true.
A decentralised e-commerce store
A proposal to fund the creation of a decentralised eCommerce platform on Kusama is open for community feedback. According to the author, there’s a need for DAOs and digital native creators communities to have a platform that allows them to reach the physical world to expand their communities.
At the moment, DeStore has created an MVP consisting of:
– Kilt Social KYC Login
– Digital Asset Cloning Tool
– Shipping Request Emailing System
– Future Fulfillment Partnership
– AEM Partnership (direct on-chain sales feed to Web2 accounting software)
If approved, this project will run for six months in which DeStore will gather learnings and feedback to create a Web3 native protocol to enable DAOs to sell Merchandise on their Local Chain. It will use Kusama branding to make the merchandise sold in the store.
